b. For the period December 1 through June 30 of each year of
this Agreement, each staff member will be compensated, in
a lump sum payment in July, for all five (5) University
designated holidays which fell within this period while the
staff member was actively employed. A staff member not
in active status on a day designated by the University as a
holiday, will not receive compensation for such holiday.
c. A non-exempt staff member scheduled to work on a
contractually designated holiday will be compensated, at
the rate of time and one-half at his/her base rate of pay or at
his/her regular rate of all hours worked, depending on the
holiday (See 8.02C and 8.02D).
d. Upon termination of employment or upon transfer out of
the twelve hour shift, the staff member will be compensated
for accrued holiday pay for any University designated
holiday which has not been paid less any monies the staff
member may owe the University.
8.04 Vacation Amount:
Vacation accruals for newly hired or rehired staff will commence upon the successful completion of the first ninety (90) days of employment and will be credited retroactively to the staff member’s date of hire or rehire.
Vacation time will accrue in each calendar year in accordance with the following schedule. The annual rate will change in the month when the staff member reaches a service milestone if the staff member’s anniversary date is before the 16th of the month and will change effective the following month if the staff member’s anniversary date is the 16th of the month or after.
Vacation accruals are cumulative from one year to the next up to an amount equal to one (1) year of accruals. When unusual circumstances warrant an exception, amounts greater than one (1) year can be carried over with approval from the supervisor’s department head and the Campus Director of Human Resources.
8.05 Vacation Accruals:

21 Years and Greater 2-1/2 Days
A staff member will be paid for vacation at his/her base rate of pay.
